We are delighted to welcome Ashley White, our new Administrative Operations Assistant, to the MyHealth1st team.

Ashley White Administrative Operations Assistant MyHealth1st

Much of Ashley’s work happens behind the scenes, but patients and team members feel its impact throughout the day. From scheduling and front-office support to inventory, billing, laboratory-related administrative needs, and special projects, she helps keep the many moving parts of the practice organized and moving forward.

Ashley brings a hands-on professional background, a lifelong learner’s mindset, and the calm resourcefulness of someone others naturally rely on. Just as importantly, she is a people person who enjoys genuine conversation and wants every patient to feel comfortable, welcomed, and cared for.

We recently sat down with Ashley to learn more about her background, what drew her to MyHealth1st, and the person behind the details that help our practice run smoothly

Q&A with Ashley

What is your role at MyHealth1st?

“I am an Administrative Operations Assistant at MyHealth1st. My role is to support the day-to-day operations of the practice and help make sure things run as smoothly and efficiently as possible. I assist with administrative and operational tasks, patient scheduling and front-office support, inventory and supplies, patient billing and laboratory-related administrative needs, and special projects. I enjoy being someone the team can depend on to help keep things organized and moving forward.”

What do you enjoy most about working with patients and supporting the team?

“I’m naturally a people person, and I genuinely enjoy conversation and getting to know others. I love that our patients often feel more like friends than strangers and that we can have real, friendly conversations with them. We meet people from so many different backgrounds and places, and I enjoy hearing their stories.

I also really enjoy supporting my team. In both my professional and personal life, I have often become the person people lean on. I enjoy being the organizer and problem-solver, and I like knowing I can make things easier for the people around me.”

What drew you to MyHealth1st?

“I was interested in the opportunity to be involved in the operations of a company and play a part in helping it run successfully. I knew I wanted to work behind the scenes with the organization, problem solving, and all the pieces that allow a practice to operate effectively.

I was also drawn to MyHealth1st because of its holistic approach to healthcare. For years, I have been interested in wellness, alternative approaches to health, and ways people can support their health and help prevent illness.

I have always believed there is more to caring for the body than simply treating a problem once it occurs, so the philosophy behind MyHealth1st really stood out to me.”

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

“I enjoy a mix of creativity, exploring new places, and spending time with the people I love most. Whether I am giving a room a fresh look or making customized party favors, I enjoy bringing my ideas to life. I also like walking around downtown, discovering new shops, and finding new places to eat.

As a busy mom of three boys, a lot of my time is spent supporting their activities. Their youth football games are one of the highlights of my Saturdays, and I am proudly the loudest one on the sideline!”

What is one fun fact about you?

“I really enjoy transforming and repurposing things. I can look at an old piece of furniture or an ordinary space and immediately start thinking about how I could give it a completely different look. I get a lot of satisfaction from taking something that needs a little love and turning it into something I really enjoy.”

What is your favorite way to recharge?

“One of my favorite ways to recharge is getting outside for a walk. Being surrounded by nature helps me relax, clear my head, and enjoy some fresh air. I prefer exercising outside whenever I can, and one of my favorite things to do is jump rope. It is simple, but it definitely gets your heart going!”

What part of the MyHealth1st mission resonates with you most?

“What resonates with me most is the belief that healthcare should be personal. I appreciate that MyHealth1st takes the time to know patients as individuals instead of treating them like a number or focusing only on one problem. Understanding someone’s goals, lifestyle, and overall needs is an important part of supporting their health.

I also connect with the focus on being proactive about health and wellness. MyHealth1st wants to be more than a place people go only when something is wrong. Educating patients, helping them understand their health, and supporting them throughout their health journey are things I truly value.”

What do you hope patients feel when they interact with you?

“I hope patients feel comfortable, welcomed, and genuinely cared for. I want them to feel they can have a real conversation with me and that they are being treated like a person, not just a patient.

Healthcare can sometimes feel intimidating or impersonal, so if I can make someone’s experience a little more relaxed, friendly, and positive, then I feel like I have done my job.”

The Heart Behind the Details

Strong operations are often most noticeable in how a practice feels: questions are answered, supplies are ready, schedules stay on track, and patients know someone is paying attention. Ashley helps create that experience by bringing organization and follow-through to the details without losing the warmth and personal connection that define MyHealth1st.

Her resourcefulness, creativity, and genuine interest in people make her a wonderful fit for our team. We are grateful to have Ashley helping our practice and our patients feel supported, and we hope you will join us in giving her a warm MyHealth1st welcome
