FAQ

Insurance and Payment

We are a cash-pay practice, meaning we do not directly file insurance claims. However, we provide our patients with “insurance invoices” that include both CPT and Dx codes, which you can then submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. Please be aware that we have opted out of Medicare.

Many of the blood tests and kits we order are through LabCorp, and you can be filed these with your insurance. When you go to a LabCorp patient service center, they will collect your insurance information and file the labs on your behalf. If you owe anything after insurance, LabCorp will send you an invoice in the mail with the amount due.

MyHealth1st is a client of LabCorp, meaning we get discounted cash-pay rates for labs. If you do not have insurance, or your insurance does not cover a portion of your labs, we can bill you directly at our rate. For those who initially use insurance, please send us a copy of your LabCorp invoice so we can generate your cash-pay estimate. If we can save you money, we will contact LabCorp to retract the labs from your insurance plan and bill you directly.

Additionally, your provider may recommend specialty tests from third party lab companies that are not be covered by all or any insurance companies. For patients who prefer, we offer cash-pay options at our special wholesale rates.

  • All patients are required to have a credit card on file with us and designate a default payment method.
  • Payment is due at the time of service.
  • We have a $75 no-show fee for appointments that aren’t canceled at least 48 hours in advance.

Appointments and Service

Absolutely! Just let us know when booking. However, for a thorough assessment, we recommend your first visit be in person. Procedures also require in-person appointments.

We tailor our recommended services to meet the individual needs of each patient. For specific rate details, we encourage you to fill out the contact form above for a no-commitment consultation, or call our office directly. Just follow the menu options to leave a message for our New Patient Coordinator, who’ll be happy to assist you with your queries.
